The Hollow Sovereign seeks to acquire Tenzo Shinoda’s body for purposes that Uncle has not disclosed to his fellow travelers. The title is provisional; the entity’s true name, history, and full capabilities are unknown.
Known Details
The Hollow Sovereign’s interest in Shinoda is specifically his body, not his death. Death is a prerequisite, not the objective. What the entity intends to do with the body once acquired (inhabit it, reanimate it, harvest something from it) has not been stated.
Uncle’s relationship to the Hollow Sovereign appears to be one of service: Uncle’s Pugilist tradition (the Hand of Dread) channels power from a dread patron, and his background ties him to a cult called the Crooked Moon, both consistent with a lich’s patronage network. Whether Uncle serves willingly, under compulsion, or through some transactional arrangement is not yet clear.
