According to sages in the Mythic Land of Jiao and the faraway kingdoms of Videha, there are six realms of reality. This is how they organize the unverse.
- Deva Realm, the land of the gods.
- Mortal Realm, or the prime material plane
- Asura Realm, the land of demi-gods
- Animal Realm, though this doesn’t include bestial races and does include most plants or fungi
- Hungry Ghost Realm, the land of our ancestors, resting in Shadow
- Hell Realm, equivalent toBaator and the Abyss
Though these strata define areas of life in the universe, as well as a hierarchy of sorts, they are viewed by shrewed diviners and scientists as a map of the cosmos. The Celestial Administration further divides the realms into 31 levels.
