Among the treasures cataloged in the annals of the New Jiao Empire and its predecessor dynasties, dozens of artifacts survive only as brief entries in scholarly registers, their full histories lost to the upheavals of the ages. What follows is a compendium of these lesser-documented relics, each significant enough to merit inclusion in the Imperial Archives yet elusive enough that their complete stories remain untold.

Weapons and Instruments of War

The 27 Ocean Calming Pearls. In the depths of Rolara’s oceans, where arcane energies pulse through coral reefs and ancient ruins, the esteemed Pearl Clan guards these primordial treasures. Said to glow with five colors, they are not mere ornaments but potent magical weapons from the Inauguration of the Gods.

The Eight-Feet Serpent Lance. Armament of a famed general whose name has been worn smooth by the centuries. The lance’s unusual length, eight feet of coiled serpentine metalwork, suggests it was forged for a warrior of extraordinary stature or skill.

The Fire-Tipped Spear. A magical spear capable of spewing fire from its tip, associated with the legendary child-hero of Jiao myth. Its flames are said to burn with the intensity of a flame tongue weapon.

The Golden Brick. A hurling weapon wielded by a legendary hero. Despite its humble name, it strikes with the force of divine authority.

The Sword of Kunwu. A legendary short sword said to have belonged to King Lang Mu. The blade’s current whereabouts are unknown, though several Jiao noble houses claim to possess it.

Containers and Trapping Devices

The Exquisite Golden Pagoda. An incredible artifact capable of magically imprisoning most beings. When not in use, it shrinks to only a few inches tall, no different from a table decoration.

The Golden Chalice of Primordial Chaos. Considered by many to be a supremely powerful artifact, it can capture any creature inside its depths. Scholars debate whether the interior constitutes a demiplane or something older and stranger.

The Leopard Skin Bag. This bag functions similarly to a Bag of Holding but can hold only magical items. In legend, its capacity is said to be nearly limitless, an entire armory of enchanted weapons swallowed into spotted hide.

The Tree of Seven Treasures. This divine treasure is said to be able to “brush away” anything, that is, imprison it in a convenient demiplane from which there is no escape without the wielder’s consent.

The Pot of Ten Thousand Crows. The crows within are fiery in nature, a swarm of living embers. Combined with the Ten Thousand Miles of Smoke, the Pot is said to be capable of incinerating an entire city.

Fans, Banners, and Regalia

The Banana Leaf Fan. Two Banana Leaf Fans are known to astute scholars of the subject. They are capable of summoning cyclones and storms with a single sweep.

The Banner of Six Souls. A triangular banner that must have six names inscribed upon it to function. The bearer of each name dies immediately, unable to be resurrected even by a Wish spell. The Banner was stolen before it could be used, and its current location is unknown.

The Five-Fires Fan of Seven Plumes. Once given as a marriage gift, a union sealed with the promise of annihilation. Capable of incinerating enemies with a single flap of its seven iridescent plumes.

Mirrors, Lanterns, and Instruments of Revelation

The Demon-Revealing Mirror. This lens allows the user to see the true form of shapeshifted fiends, stripping away their disguises to reveal the horror beneath.

The Precious Lotus Lantern. After an Immortal was imprisoned within Mount Hua for the transgression of marrying a mortal, her son used this incredibly powerful lantern to split the mountain and free her. A testament to filial devotion made manifest in divine light.

Rods, Staves, and Tools of Authority

The Demon-Subduing Rod. An iron rod once used by a Demon Prince to control his hordes. Whether it still answers to infernal authority or has been cleansed of that taint remains a matter of speculation.

Materials and Substances

Fire-washed Cloth. A remarkable textile that can be cleaned by tossing it into a bonfire. After being pulled from the flames, it emerges in prime condition, free of any stain, scuff, or mark. Clothing fabricated from this material provides fire resistance to its wearer.

Mythic and Cosmological Relics

The Legendary Axe of Pangu. According to some tales, this is the very axe the primordial Pangu used to separate Yin from Yang at the dawn of creation. Whether the artifact in the Archives is the genuine article or a later consecrated replica is the subject of fierce scholarly debate.
