This material was prized by Elf warriors for its lightness, being half the weight of steel when refined and nearly as durable, and with some nebulous, unameable magical quality to it. It was most often crafted into Elven Chain, a lightweight armor that could be worn under even simple clothing, yet could deflect blade and arrow alike.
It was also frequently used in Elven jewelry. Dwarf clans would trade with elves in ancient times to hoard the metal, and they experimented with alloys unseen in centuries.
