There is evidence that the area around the city has been settled since the Time of Myth and Magic when the Ancient Jiao controlled most of the continent. An acheological discovery in the year 901 of the Celestial Calendar, accredited to the local ruler at the time, appears to show the earliest evidence of Star Mapping.
