Memora, also known as the Terraced Gardens of the Immortals or the Deva Realm, is an outer plane of lawful good alignment that serves as a celestial haven for the virtuous dead and the dwelling place of the Immortals. The name “Deva Realm” is used in Videha, Jeonbye, Kimokotan, Jiaohai, and other regions influenced by Eastern cosmological traditions. Memora is Rolara’s analogue to Mount Celestia in traditional planar cosmology, but rather than a mountain, it takes the form of a vast terraced garden ascending through nine tiers of increasing grandeur and spiritual significance.
Each terrace is named after a precious gem or material and represents a stage in the soul’s journey toward divine unity. The plane is inhabited by celestial beings of pure goodness (devas, angels, and the souls of the virtuous dead) as well as various deities whose divine realms are nestled among the celestial flora.
Travel through Memora is a journey of spiritual growth. The plane itself guides souls through their ascent, with each terrace presenting its own lessons and trials. Only by overcoming these can a soul advance to the next tier. The plane resists spells and abilities of chaotic or evil nature, and creatures of such alignment may find themselves repelled. For those of good heart and strong will, however, Memora offers a path of self-discovery, spiritual growth, and eternal peace.
Geography
Memora’s nine terraces ascend in grandeur and tranquility, each mapped to a stage of spiritual development corresponding to the chakra system.
The First Terrace: The Opal Oasis
The journey through Memora begins at the Opal Oasis, a vast expanse of lush greenery with trees bearing fruits of wisdom and streams flowing with the purest water. The air carries the sweet scent of flowers and the songs of celestial birds. It is a place of peace and grounding where souls begin their journey of enlightenment.
The Opal Oasis corresponds to the Root Chakra (Muladhara), representing foundation and the feeling of being grounded. As the first and most accessible terrace, it serves as the foundation of Memora, stabilizing souls before they ascend.
The Second Terrace: The Topaz Tranquility
A serene landscape of golden fields where grains sway with celestial winds. The sky is a perpetual twilight of gold and amber. It is a place of contemplation and introspection, where souls learn patience and perseverance.
The Topaz Tranquility corresponds to the Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana), associated with the ability to accept others and new experiences. The terrace’s soothing ambiance encourages souls to open themselves to what Memora has to offer.
The Third Terrace: The Sapphire Serenity

The Diamond Dominion corresponds to the Crown Chakra (Sahasrara), representing full spiritual connection. Celestial chimes ring throughout, and the crystalline beauty serves as a bridge between the physical and the divine.

A realm of perfect peace and unity where natural and divine architecture blend seamlessly. Every leaf, every stone, every drop of water exists in perfect balance. In many spiritual traditions, the journey through the chakras culminates in a state of enlightenment, a transcendent consciousness where one realizes their true nature and becomes one with the universe. The Heaven of Jade Totality represents this state. The Jade Totality presides over this terrace.
The Ninth Terrace: The Golden Tower of Heaven
The journey through Memora culminates at The Golden Tower of Heaven, the highest point of the plane and a place of perfect law and good. The tower is a beacon of golden light whose radiance illuminates the entire plane. It is here that souls are said to become one with the plane itself, their journey of enlightenment reaching its zenith.
Beyond enlightenment, the Golden Tower represents unity with the divine: the dissolution of the individual self and the realization of one’s divine nature. The tower is a marvel of celestial architecture, a golden spire reaching toward the heavens that symbolizes the soul’s final ascent. It is the private residence of the Jade God and constitutes a dimensional pocket protruding from the Palace of Divinity in Mechanus into Memora.
Localized Phenomena
Optional Rule: Blessed Beneficence
In contrast to the dissonance experienced by evil creatures, good creatures are blessed by the pervasive beneficence of the plane. Creatures of good alignment gain the benefit of the bless spell as long as they remain on the plane. In addition, finishing a long rest on the plane grants a good creature the benefit of a lesser restoration spell.
