Smiling Jorin is a secondary NPC associated with Tenzo Shinoda’s tournament in Ahvantir, prepped for the inaugural session of Enter the Game of the Fist of Death but not yet placed on-screen.
Description
Jorin presents himself as an itinerant merchant: warm, wordy, and never quiet. He offers absurd sums for tournament invitations, backs them with tragic stories about an ailing wife, a temple debt, a son who needs the money. None of it is true. When charm and fabrication fail, he resorts to more direct methods: a sedative in a drink, a lifted invitation while the mark is unconscious. He is not a combatant by preference and will avoid violence if any other option exists.
Current Status
Jorin was prepped for the chartered ship voyage but his Foundry token was not placed, so he did not appear during the inaugural session. He is held for first appearance at the casino or resort in a future session. His in-fiction explanation for arriving separately (different vessel, already at the resort, or simply missed the ship) is to be determined.
