Ahvantir is a Prime Material Plane, a separate world from Rolara. It consists of an archipelago and a vast sea that stretches directly into the Astral Sea without a significant intervening Wildspace (its Wildspace exists but is small and geographically close by comparison to other crystal spheres). Traveling to Ahvantir is easy; leaving is expensive to impossible.
Geography
The world is predominantly oceanic, with landmasses scattered as island chains across its waters. The main settlement is a city named Aru’mas, though it is not particularly relevant to current campaign events. The sea’s direct connection to the Astral Sea makes Ahvantir unusually accessible to interplanar travelers, which has attracted both legitimate visitors and those who prefer to operate beyond the reach of any single world’s authorities.
Shinoda’s Island
Approximately thirty years ago, Tenzo Shinoda acquired a sovereign island in Ahvantir through a transaction he does not discuss. No nation of Rolara can claim jurisdiction over it. No scrying reliably penetrates the island’s perimeter. Shinoda built a tower on the island over the first decade of his ownership and has hosted a private annual fighting tournament there for eighteen years. The island’s sovereignty, combined with Ahvantir’s lack of comfortable divine jurisdiction (no cosmology claims the plane), makes it an ideal location for gatherings that would attract unwanted attention elsewhere.
Notable Visitors
Several individuals from Rolara are known to be in Ahvantir at present. The four PCs of Enter the Game of the Fist of Death (Copper-Azide-II, Father-Eurylius-Sol, Gamborgz-Morkrak, Uncle) arrived via a chartered Drow vessel that crossed the Astral Sea. By coincidence, the wandering ronin Koji is also currently present in Ahvantir.
Creator
Ahvantir is the world created by the player Krys.
